
Video sharing platform YouTube down in India

Faraz Ashraf: Google’s major service video sharing giant YouTube reportedly suffered outage in India. Reports of issues began to surface around 05:30 pm this evening.
YouTube surfers found themselves being greeted with a “Oops Something went wrong” message. YouTube India in it’s tweet stated: We are aware that many of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now – our team is aware and looking into it. We’ll update you here as soon as we have more news.

It is pertinent to mention that on November 12, 2020 YouTube went down in India between 5 am to 8 am. Around 94 percent of users had trouble watching videos on the app, while only 3 percent faced difficulties in uploading a video. Around 2 percent of users could not access the website. More than 280,000 users reported errors on YouTube in less than an hour.
Not just YouTube, the issue appears to have impacted other services that use the YouTube infrastructure such as YouTube TV and movies and TV shows purchased through Google TV, formerly known as Google Play Movies & TV.
However, YouTube was quick to fix the glitch and restore the services
